Rodmatic is celebrating achieving a 35% growth in turnover over the past year. This is a result of the company’s exceptional performance which means that it now manufactures more than 300,000 parts a week! As part of this, Rodmatic have increased their workforce by an additional seven members of staff. Due to the high volume of parts being produced, the company is moving to automate secondary operations and, as part of this, have invested in a Vibratory Bowl Finishing Machine from PDJ Vibro Ltd. This can work 24 hours a day deburring components and helping to streamline manufacturing processes even further. With a sound-proof lid, it also helps to enhance health and safety within the facility.
Rodmatic has also invested in new equipment to increase efficiency, such as machine monitoring technology for more accurate insight into how the facility is working. Since this has been installed, the company has seen a 15% increase in machine hours. Rodmatic has also brought in a number of initiatives to improve its impact on the environment.
Brian Steatham, Chairman of Rodmatic, said:
“While Brexit is a concern for us just like any other UK business, we are choosing to focus on continuing to expand our global markets, as we have been doing for a long time. We are delighted that the efforts of all of the team here at Rodmatic are creating such positive results.”
