Rodmatic to offer hi-tech manufacturing services

Rodmatic Limited, a leading market specialist in the production of high volume turned parts is pleased to announce the establishment of the Rodmatic Hytek division to provide hi-tech manufacturing services using the latest generation of CNC machine tools.

As part of this expansion, Rodmatic has recently taken delivery of the first of its Doosan Puma MX Mill/Turn machining centres to handle the production requirements of the new division. The design of these machines provides the full turning capability of a lathe along with the full milling capability of a machining centre with the combined capabilities used for completing complex workpieces in single setup. The single setup approach offered by these machines results in reduced lead time and improved accuracy on the final component.

"With the acquisition of this new state-of-the-art machine tool coupled with our EdgeCAM programming software and industry experienced programmers we are able to provide a fast, efficient and cost-effective turnaround on a wide range of machined components," says Robert Rickman, Managing Director of Rodmatic.
