High volume turned parts

Rodmatic has 42 Multi-Spindle turning machines for the manufacture of high volume turned parts. We can turn components up to 80mm diameter maximum. Wickman Multi-spindle 8 25 mm diameter machines 26 45 mm diameter machines 7 55 mm diameter machines 1 80 mm diameter machines

We are able to manufacture components up to 180mm in length. The economic batch size for our multi-spindle machines does depend on the size and complexity of the component but typically starts at 3000 parts.

 

Complex components

Ranges from small, often complex components, prototype, pre-production and assemblies that can range from batch sizes of just 25 through to very complex parts up to 400 mm diameter or by up to a metre long. These are all produced in single operation strategies and supported by the benefits of a technology-led service.

Materials accommodated are as diverse as plastics, mild steel, brass, aluminium, stainless steel, alloy steels and titanium, and can be machined to high orders of precision as part of our cost-effective source of supply.

In-house tooling

Within Rodmatic is a toolroom and CNC tool and cutter grinding area with 3 optical profile grinders and surface grinders able to produce and service circular and flat form tools and help ensure all elements of production are held under strict control for precision and on-time changeover.
